Festival of Friends
Gage Park, Hamilton, Ontario
August 10, 1997

Festival of Friends was probably my favorite concert. It was my first ever visit to Hamilton without "adult supervision" (I'm surprised that I didn't get lost with all those crazy one way streets!). A lot of really interesting things happened at this show. I met SueB, Sandy, and Gareth for the first time, and I got a chance to see a lot of friends that I had met at the previous concert. The guys played a really amazing set to the tune of about 20,000 people. It was the place to be that night! And, who would of thought that many people would be so into the guy's performance that they would carry Bryan Adams' "Summer of '69" from start to finish??

(A friend of mine absolutely loves this shot because it's proof that Alan was indeed picking on Bob throughout the whole performance. Just look at the expression on his face!)

The following pictures of the guys were taken after the show. The guys were kind enough to sign autographs for the group of people found lurking around the backstage entrance an hour after the show.

(can't you just picture Alan as a little boy from this shot?!)

Close up of Sean
(what a great pic! Too bad he wasn't looking "up")

close up of Darrell
(my very rare pic of Darrell - and it's a close-up too!)

This picture was also taken after the show (but I can't remember who took it!!) My only thought when I look at is what exactly was going on under that table?!?!
